If you are using an LCD 3D printer and in need of a resin to create prints that hold their shape whilst also being able to bend and flex slightly without snapping, Photocentric’s UV LCD Firm Resin produces parts with similar mechanical behaviour to that of Polypropylene. It is ideal for creating parts that will deflect and compress enough to bend and return to their original shape, enabling you to create accurate parts on your LCD 3D printer.

Glossary of Key Terms

Tensile strength: Tensile strength is the ability of a material to withstand a pulling (tensile) force. It is customarily measured in units of force per cross-sectional area.

% elongation: indication of how much an object can be extended from it’s original shape.

Young’s Modulus: Young’s Modulus is a measure of how much force is needed to stretch or compress a substance.

Flexural Strength: The flexural strength of a material is defined as its ability to resist deformation under load.

Flexural Modulus: (also know as the Bend modulus) is a measure of a materials stiffness/ resistance to bend when a force is applied on the sample.

HDT: is the temperature at which a plastic deforms under heat

2 reviews for UV LCD Firm Resin

  1. Jaka

The Firm resin is the closest thing I can find that you can compare with ABS or ABS/PC plastic. It has the right properties for our application witch need to be tought with little flexibility. It can bend a little without shatter. Very good resin !!

  2. Stefan van Seggelen

I bought your UV LCD Firm and UV LCD Hard resin to work with on my Anycubic Photon S printer. First of all, the quality of your material is great! My prints look wonderful with your recommended settings!
