Our tool runs entirely in your browser to view and analyse your part. Photocentric will not see your part unless you subsequently submit an enquiry. Part of the purpose of this tool is for us to collect information about what parts you want to print so we can develop better products for you. When you click calculate, we collect a report of the calculations including the part size, the quantity required and the postcode.

How the Calculator Works

With the size and volume of the part, we can calculate the material used in the print, the time and energy used. With the surface area, we can estimate the amount of material used in washing and rinsing the part. With the cost and carbon footprints of the materials and energy, we can estimate the total for a part. We are continually improving this calculator to have more accurate estimates. We strongly believe our technology offers one of the most scalable and cost effective production methods and we aim for this tool to be representative of the cost of a part whether Photocentric is producing it on our machines, or you are on yours.

What file types are allowed

We only allow the following file types: 3mf, amf, stl, step, iges, obj.
