Key Responsibilities for the Software Engineer:
- Working within a small yet dynamic engineering team and with other R&D teams to deliver bespoke software solutions to shape the future of manufacturing.
- Architect and build front and back-end systems to create new 3D printing solutions.
- Diagnosing issues and overcome problems with hands-on equipment.
- Analysing business requirements and manage software releases.
- Developing documentation and software release information.
- Continuing developing our bespoke 3D printer control software.
- Identifying and managing outsourcing opportunities.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications of our Software Engineer:
- Experience in embedded systems.
- Proven experience with mixed language projects (Angular, C, C++).
- Expertise in event-driven systems and APIs.
- Experience in database system design and application.
- Strong debugging and code design skills.
This role and salary will be tailored to suit either a recent graduate to an experienced software engineer

Purchasing Administrator
Location: Peterborough, UK
Photocentric Ltd is a manufacturing company based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and the USA. Three times Queens Award winners one for export and twice for innovation, we have invented a patented new method of 3D printing and manufacture 3D printers, resins and craft products that are exported all over the world.
We are seeking a part time Purchasing Administrator to work Monday to Friday 24 – 30 hours per week. Hours and days can be flexible to suit. As the Purchasing Administrator you will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing Manager in sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials and products. This role ensures the smooth operation of procurement processes by maintaining records, liaising with suppliers, and coordinating with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities for the Purchasing Administrator will include:
- Process purchase requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update supplier records and purchasing documentation.
- Track deliveries and ensure goods are received on time and in full.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with supplier evaluations and maintain performance records.
- Support with negotiating terms and pricing where needed.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to procurement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Could suit either previous experience in an administrative purchasing role or a junior purchasing person.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience of negotiation and making decisions
- Confident on picking up new IT systems with experience using ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) is an advantage.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Purchasing experience ideally in a manufacturing or engineering business but not essential
- Willing to be hands on carry out day to day purchasing activities
