About Us

Photocentric Group is an innovation-led business focused on using innovation to transform how products are made. We push the boundaries of what’s possible with material innovation and machine technology.

We have changed the manufacture of craft stamps with a patented photopolymer product, invented LCD 3D printers, developed next-generation batteries and created a new form of manufacturing in space. Our focus today is on making robotic digital manufacturing machines.

2002

Photocentric is founded in the UK, beginning with photopolymer innovation for stamp making and invention of imagepac.

2004–2009

Early Innovation

• Development and patent of visible light curing photopolymer using LCD screens.

• Initial research foundations laid for LCD 3D printing.

• Invention of Stampmaker.

2010–2015

Expansion

• Open new 35,000 sqft facility in UK and open USA manufacturing site

• Expansion of custom craft stamps, invention of Costa, first automatic inline stamp processing machine, production of 500 millionth stamp.

• LCD 3D Printing invented and patented.

2016–2020

3D Foundations

• Launch of Liquid Crystal 10 – the world’s first LCD 3D Printer, and numerous other LCD 3D Printers, including Liquid Crystal Magna.

• Awarded 3 Queen’s Award – 2 for Innovation and 1 for International Trade.

• US Expansion with larger facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

2021–2025

Diversifying our Innovation

• Opening of 66,000 sqft purpose-built UK research and manufacturing headquarters, Titan House.

• Start of battery research programme and production of first 3D printed battery with polymer separator.

• In-house printing of over 5m face shields using LC Magna.

• ESA partnership for in-orbit manufacturing and space-ready materials commences with CosmicMaker.

• First Bio-based resins developed, focussing on circularity and low carbon.

•  Development and launch of Liquid Crystal Titan, the largest LCD 3D printer in the world

• Development and launch of JENI – the world’s first fully autonomous digital mass manufacturing platform.
